BURNOUT & HIGH-ACHIEVING PROFESSIONALS
Many high-achieving professionals appear successful on the outside—strong careers, advanced degrees, and financial stability—yet internally feel exhausted, anxious, or disconnected from their sense of purpose.
For many clients in demanding fields such as law, finance, tech, and medicine, the pressure to succeed is often tied to deeper expectations: honoring family sacrifices, meeting high cultural standards, and proving belonging in competitive environments. Over time, this can lead to chronic stress, burnout, and a persistent feeling that no accomplishment is ever enough.
In my work as a therapist, I help clients understand the internal patterns that drive overwork, perfectionism, and difficulty slowing down. Burnout is not simply about workload—it is often connected to long-standing beliefs about worth, identity, and responsibility.
For many Asian and immigrant professionals, these pressures can be especially complex, shaped by both personal ambition and intergenerational expectations.
In therapy, we focus on reducing burnout, interrupting cycles of overfunctioning, and rebuilding a more sustainable relationship with achievement and rest. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, present, and connected to a sense of self that is not solely defined by productivity.
