ANXIETY
Anxiety can make everything feel urgent, overwhelming, and difficult to control—even when life appears stable on the outside. It often does not show up in obvious ways. For many people, it appears as racing thoughts at night, constant overthinking, difficulty relaxing, a need to stay in control, or a persistent feeling that no amount of effort is ever enough.
In my work as an anxiety therapist, I help clients understand the patterns driving their anxiety rather than just managing the symptoms. Anxiety is often not random—it can be connected to long-standing stress, perfectionism, relational patterns, or internal pressure to perform and succeed.
For many Asian and immigrant clients, anxiety is also shaped by cultural and family expectations. Pressures to achieve, to honor family sacrifices, and to navigate between different cultural identities can create chronic internal stress that is difficult to name but deeply felt over time.
In therapy, we work together to slow these patterns down and understand what is underneath them. Using evidence-based approaches, we focus on helping you reduce overwhelm, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical strategies to feel more grounded in daily life.
The goal is not only to manage anxiety, but to create a more stable internal sense of calm, clarity, and confidence—so your life does not feel dictated by constant tension or overthinking.
